Refund Policy
Table of contents
This Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs refunds for Chapter Packs purchased through FanficForge, available at fanficforge.online.
This Policy forms part of the FanficForge Terms of Service.
Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer rights that cannot be excluded or restricted by agreement under applicable law.
1. What Is Purchased on FanficForge
Users may purchase Chapter Packs — packages of Chapter Credits used for certain generation operations in FanficForge.
The number of Chapter Credits, package price, and currency are displayed to the user before purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, paid Chapter Credits do not have a fixed expiration date and may be used until they are consumed, subject to the FanficForge Terms of Service.
Chapter Credits:
-
are intended solely for use with FanficForge features;
-
are not currency;
-
are not electronic money;
-
are not a banking or investment product;
-
do not earn interest;
-
are not intended to be transferred or sold to other users;
-
cannot be freely exchanged for money except in refund cases provided for by this Policy or mandatory law.
2. Refund of a Completely Unused Chapter Pack
A user may request a refund for a purchased Chapter Pack within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, provided that the Chapter Pack remains completely unused.
For a voluntary refund under this section, all of the following conditions must be met:
-
the request is submitted no later than 14 calendar days after purchase;
-
the relevant Chapter Pack has not been used in whole or in part;
-
the Chapter Credits received as part of that purchase have not been spent on successful generation operations;
-
the refund is not connected with fraud, abuse of the payment system, or an attempt to retain both paid services and refunded funds.
If these conditions are met, FanficForge refunds the amount actually paid by the user for the relevant Chapter Pack.
The price of the package at the time the refund request is submitted does not affect the refund amount.
If the price of the Chapter Pack changed after purchase, the refund is calculated based on the amount actually paid by the user, not the current value of Chapter Credits on the website.
3. Partially Used Chapter Packs
If any Chapter Credits from the relevant purchase have been used for a successful paid generation, a voluntary refund of the remaining portion of the Chapter Pack is generally not provided.
For example, if a user purchased a package of 20 Chapter Credits and used one or more Credits for successful generation, the remaining Credits do not automatically create a right to a proportional cash refund.
The unused balance remains in the user’s account and may be used on FanficForge in accordance with the Terms of Service.
FanficForge may, at its sole discretion, provide a partial refund, compensation, or another solution in an exceptional case, but such a decision:
-
is not an obligation of FanficForge;
-
does not create a right to a similar refund in the future;
-
does not change the general rule of this Policy.
Any mandatory rights available to the user under applicable law remain unaffected by this provision.
4. When a Chapter Credit Is Considered Used
A Chapter Credit is considered used after the successful completion and saving of the result of the relevant paid generation operation.
Merely clicking the Generate button does not mean that a Chapter Credit has been used.
Under the current FanficForge logic, a Credit is deducted only after generation is successfully completed.
A Chapter Credit should not be deducted if the operation was not successfully completed, for example due to:
-
unavailability of the AI provider;
-
timeout;
-
system error;
-
an empty or technically invalid result;
-
a generation-process error before the result is successfully saved.
In such cases, a cash refund is generally unnecessary because the relevant Chapter Credit remains in the user’s balance.
5. The User Does Not Like the Generation Result
AI generation is probabilistic.
If an operation is technically completed successfully and the result is created and saved, the Chapter Credit is considered used even if:
-
the user does not like the writing style;
-
the plot develops in an unexpected direction;
-
the user would prefer a different version;
-
the result requires editing;
-
the result subjectively does not meet the user’s expectations.
Subjective dissatisfaction with a successfully generated result does not, by itself, constitute grounds for an automatic refund of a Chapter Credit or payment.
This does not apply to cases of a confirmed technical malfunction of the Service where the paid feature was not actually provided properly and applicable law grants the user corresponding mandatory rights.
6. Regenerate
A successful chapter regeneration (Regenerate) is a new generation operation and may require deduction of an additional Chapter Credit.
Before performing such an operation, the user must have a sufficient balance.
If regeneration ends with a technical error before the result is successfully created and saved, the Chapter Credit for that operation should not be deducted.
If regeneration is completed successfully, the Chapter Credit is considered used regardless of whether the user prefers the new result to the previous version.
7. Free and Bonus Chapter Credits
FanficForge may provide users with free or bonus Chapter Credits.
Such Credits may be provided, for example:
-
upon registration;
-
as part of a promotion;
-
as a bonus;
-
as compensation;
-
at FanficForge’s discretion;
-
as part of other offers.
Free Chapter Credits:
-
have no monetary value;
-
are not part of any amount paid by the user;
-
cannot be exchanged for money;
-
are not eligible for cash refunds.
If a user has both paid and free Chapter Credits, they may be tracked separately by FanficForge’s internal system.
8. Accidental Duplicate Payment
If, due to a technical or other error, a user is charged twice for the same purchase or makes an obvious unintended duplicate purchase, the user may contact:
Where possible, the request should include:
-
the email associated with the FanficForge account;
-
purchase date;
-
amount;
-
currency;
-
payment provider;
-
order or payment identifier, if available.
After review, FanficForge may cancel the duplicate purchase and refund the corresponding payment.
Chapter Credits associated with the refunded duplicate purchase may be removed from the user’s balance.
If such Credits have already been used, FanficForge may take this into account when reviewing the request, except where a refund is mandatory under applicable law.
9. Payment Succeeded but Credits Were Not Added
If funds were successfully charged but the paid Chapter Credits did not appear in the user’s account, the user should contact:
FanficForge will review the payment status.
Depending on the result of the review, FanficForge may:
-
credit the paid Chapter Credits;
-
correct the order status;
-
reprocess payment confirmation;
-
or refund the payment if the purchased Chapter Pack cannot be provided or a refund is the more appropriate solution.
The user should not repeat the purchase solely to correct the error unless necessary.
10. Failed or Canceled Payment
If a payment:
-
was not confirmed;
-
was declined;
-
was canceled by the payment provider;
-
expired;
-
or was not received by FanficForge;
Chapter Credits may not be credited.
A temporary authorization or hold placed by a bank, payment service, or other intermediary does not by itself mean that FanficForge received the corresponding payment.
The time required for a temporary hold to be released is determined by the relevant bank or payment provider.
11. Payment Providers
FanficForge uses third-party payment providers, including:
-
Lava.top;
-
CryptoCloud;
-
other payment services that may be added in the future.
The actual refund method may depend on:
-
the payment method used;
-
currency;
-
the payment provider’s rules;
-
technical ability to process a reversal;
-
legal requirements.
FanficForge does not store full payment card numbers or CVV/CVC codes.
12. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact:
Where possible, the request should include:
-
the email associated with the FanficForge account;
-
order identifier, if available;
-
purchase date;
-
purchased Chapter Pack;
-
amount and currency;
-
payment provider;
-
a brief reason for the request.
FanficForge may request additional information where reasonably necessary to:
-
identify the purchase;
-
verify the account owner;
-
prevent fraud;
-
comply with payment provider requirements;
-
comply with legal requirements.
Do not send FanficForge your full payment card number, CVV/CVC, banking password, or other secret payment information.
13. Review Period
FanficForge aims to review refund requests without undue delay.
The actual time it takes for refunded funds to reach the user after approval may depend on the bank, payment network, cryptocurrency system, or other payment provider.
If applicable law establishes a mandatory refund period, FanficForge will comply with that period.
14. Refund Method
Where technically possible and supported by the payment method used, refunds are generally made through the payment method associated with the original purchase.
If a refund through the original method is technically impossible, FanficForge may agree with the user on another available refund method where permitted by law and by the payment provider’s rules.
FanficForge is not required to provide a refund method that is not technically supported by the relevant payment channel.
15. What Happens to Credits After a Refund
After a full refund of the relevant Chapter Pack, the Chapter Credits provided as a result of that purchase are subject to removal from the user’s balance.
The user may not retain both the refunded money and the Credits for which the refund was issued.
If, due to a technical delay, the Credits remain temporarily visible after a refund, this does not give the user the right to use them.
FanficForge may adjust the balance to reflect the actual status of the purchase.
16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
The user may in good faith dispute unauthorized or erroneous payments in accordance with the rules of their bank, payment system, and applicable law.
When a chargeback or other payment dispute is opened, FanficForge may:
-
temporarily restrict the use of Credits associated with the disputed purchase;
-
adjust the balance after reversal of the payment;
-
request information necessary to review the dispute;
-
provide the payment provider with necessary information about the order and the fact that the service was provided.
If the payment is finally reversed, the Credits obtained through it may be removed.
Systematic abuse of the chargeback mechanism, including attempts to both use purchased Credits and reverse the payment without a lawful basis, may result in account restrictions.
This provision does not limit the user’s right to dispute in good faith actual fraud, an unauthorized payment, or another legitimate claim.
17. Account Closure or Restriction
Deletion of an account at the user’s request does not by itself create an automatic right to a refund for previously used Chapter Packs.
If, at the time the account is deleted, the user has a completely unused Chapter Pack purchased less than 14 calendar days earlier, the user may submit a refund request in accordance with this Policy.
The treatment of unused paid Credits when FanficForge terminates an account will be considered taking into account:
-
the reason for termination of access;
-
this Policy;
-
the Terms of Service;
-
the existence of fraud or abuse;
-
mandatory requirements of applicable law.
18. Discontinuation of the Service or a Paid Feature
If FanficForge permanently discontinues the Service or a paid feature in a way that prevents the user from using previously purchased paid Chapter Credits, FanficForge will determine how the remaining paid balance will be handled in light of applicable law.
This may include:
-
providing a reasonable period to use the remaining Credits;
-
transferring Credits to a replacement feature;
-
refunding the unused paid portion where required by law or where selected by FanficForge as the method of resolution.
Free and bonus Credits are not eligible for cash refunds.
19. Right of Withdrawal and Mandatory Consumer Rights
In some countries, consumer law provides special rights relating to distance purchases and digital services or digital content.
For example, some jurisdictions may provide a statutory period during which a consumer may withdraw from a distance purchase.
Such rights may depend on:
-
the nature of the purchased product;
-
commencement of provision of a digital service or digital content;
-
the user’s express consent to immediate performance;
-
the user’s confirmation that they understand the consequences of performance beginning;
-
other requirements of applicable law.
Before the purchase is completed, FanficForge may ask the user to confirm that Chapter Credits should be provided immediately after payment and that their use may affect the right to withdraw from the purchase.
This Policy does not waive or restrict mandatory user rights where applicable law does not permit those rights to be waived by agreement.
20. Changes to the Refund Policy
FanficForge may update this Policy for future purchases, for example due to:
-
changes in payment methods;
-
introduction of new products;
-
changes in functionality;
-
payment provider requirements;
-
changes in law.
Material changes will not apply retroactively in a manner that deprives a user of an already accrued mandatory right to a refund.
The current version of the Policy is published on the FanficForge website together with the date of the latest update.
