Privacy Policy
Table of contents
This Privacy Policy describes what data FanficForge, available at fanficforge.online (“FanficForge,” the “Service,” “we”), collects and processes, the purposes for which such data is used, with whom it may be shared, and what rights users have regarding their data.
By using FanficForge, the user confirms that they have read this Privacy Policy.
1. Who Is Responsible for Data Processing
The operator of the Service is the owner of FanficForge, operating under the name FanficForge.
For questions related to privacy and personal data processing, contact:
For general inquiries:
2. User Age
FanficForge is intended for users aged 16 and older.
We knowingly do not provide the Service to persons under the age of 16 and do not seek to collect their personal data.
If we become aware that an account belongs to a user under the age of 16, we may restrict or delete that account and associated data in accordance with applicable law.
If you believe that a person under the age of 16 has provided personal data to FanficForge, please notify us at support@fanficforge.online.
3. Data We Collect
3.1. Account Data
When registering for and using FanficForge, we may process:
-
email address;
-
username;
-
displayed author name (author name);
-
password hash, if the user registers using email and password;
-
account verification status;
-
account role and status;
-
account creation date;
-
technical account identifiers.
The user’s password is not stored in plain text.
The username and author name may be different. The author name may be displayed publicly alongside published stories.
The user’s email address is not displayed publicly.
3.2. Sign In with Google and Use of Google Data
FanficForge allows users to create an account and sign in to the Service using Google Sign-In.
When Google Sign-In is used, FanficForge receives only the limited data necessary to create, link, and authenticate a FanficForge account. Depending on the data provided by Google as part of the relevant authorization, this may include:
-
the email address associated with the Google account;
-
the unique Google account identifier;
-
the name or other basic profile information necessary to create or link an account.
FanficForge does not receive the password for the user’s Google account.
FanficForge also does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, the user’s contacts, or the contents of other Google services, unless such a feature is introduced separately in the future and is clearly presented to the user.
How Google Data Is Used
Data received through Google Sign-In is used only for:
-
creating a FanficForge account;
-
linking an existing FanficForge account with a Google account;
-
authenticating the user;
-
providing access to the account;
-
maintaining sign-in security and preventing abuse;
-
providing account-related functionality directly requested by the user.
Data received through Google Sign-In is not used as input for generating stories, chapters, images, or other AI-generated content.
In particular, the email address, Google account identifier, and other data obtained by FanficForge directly through Google OAuth are not sent to OpenRouter or generative AI model providers for the purpose of generating user content.
Storage of Google Data
FanficForge may store the email address and Google account identifier in connection with the user’s FanficForge account for as long as reasonably necessary to:
-
maintain the user’s account;
-
operate Google Sign-In;
-
maintain account security;
-
fulfill other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Retention of such data is also governed by the sections of this Privacy Policy concerning data retention and deletion.
Users may request deletion of their FanficForge account and associated Google Sign-In data by contacting:
Disconnecting FanficForge in Google account settings may prevent further use of that authentication method, but does not by itself necessarily delete an already created FanficForge account or data that was lawfully stored previously. To request deletion of such data, the user must contact FanficForge.
Sharing of Google Data
FanficForge does not sell user data obtained through Google APIs or Google Sign-In.
Such data is not shared:
-
with advertising platforms for targeted advertising;
-
with data brokers or information resellers;
-
for creating advertising profiles;
-
for determining creditworthiness;
-
for providing loans;
-
for training or improving general-purpose generative AI or machine-learning models.
Such data may be technically processed by infrastructure providers that operate or host FanficForge, solely to the extent necessary to provide and protect the Service and in accordance with applicable data-processing requirements.
Such data may also be disclosed where necessary to maintain security or where required by applicable law.
FanficForge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
FanficForge does not use data obtained through Google APIs to develop, train, or improve non-personalized or general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Story and Generation Data
When creating and editing stories, FanficForge stores and processes information provided by the user to the Service, as well as generated results.
This may include:
-
the story idea;
-
the selected fandom or description of an original world;
-
characters and their descriptions;
-
preferences and additional instructions;
-
story mood;
-
age rating;
-
plot focus;
-
elements that should be included or excluded;
-
story titles;
-
chapter texts;
-
translations;
-
tags;
-
plot state and story memory;
-
summaries of previous events;
-
generation settings;
-
information about whether a story is public or private;
-
preview or cover images;
-
text descriptions used for image generation.
FanficForge may automatically create intermediate structured data necessary for coherent generation, checking, correction, translation, and continuation of a story.
Internal system instructions of models are not user data and are not stored as user prompts, except for technical data required for certain Service features, such as generating a preview image.
5. Use of Artificial Intelligence
FanficForge uses third-party AI services to provide generation features.
The primary gateway for user generation is OpenRouter. Through OpenRouter, a request may be routed to the selected AI model provider.
Depending on the function being performed, this may include, for example, models from Google, Recraft, and other providers available through OpenRouter. The set of models and providers used may change over time.
To perform a generation, only the information necessary for the relevant operation may be shared with such providers, including:
-
the user’s idea and instructions;
-
fandom;
-
character descriptions;
-
story settings;
-
story title;
-
current chapter;
-
the previous chapter or part of it, where necessary;
-
summaries of previous chapters;
-
plot state;
-
user requirements;
-
data necessary for checking, correcting, translating, or continuing text;
-
descriptions necessary for image generation.
FanficForge does not use user stories, prompts, or other user content to train its own artificial intelligence models.
At the same time, data processing by third-party AI providers is also governed by their own terms and data-processing policies. FanficForge seeks to use available technical settings that limit unnecessary retention and use of transmitted data by third-party providers where such settings are available.
6. Public and Private Stories
Private stories are not intended to be displayed publicly to other users. However, their content is processed by FanficForge and relevant service providers to the extent necessary for generation, storage, and operation of Service features.
If the user publishes a story, its content and related public information become available to other users and may be accessible on the Internet.
Public information may include:
-
author name;
-
story title;
-
story and chapter text;
-
description;
-
tags;
-
fandom;
-
preview image;
-
other information displayed on the story page.
Users should be aware that publicly posted content may be viewed, saved, quoted, indexed by search engines, or redistributed by third parties outside FanficForge’s control.
7. Service Usage Data
FanficForge may process information about the user’s interaction with the Service, including:
-
bookmarks;
-
reading progress;
-
history of interaction with stories;
-
number of views;
-
information about completed generations;
-
generation task events and status;
-
technical errors;
-
information necessary to prevent duplicate view counting;
-
technical application and access logs.
For certain view-counting mechanisms, a cryptographic hash of the IP address may be used instead of the original IP address itself.
Server infrastructure and security logs may nevertheless technically process network information, including an IP address, where necessary to transmit a request, maintain security, diagnose issues, or prevent abuse.

Yandex Metrica may also provide technologies for analyzing interaction with the interface, including Webvisor and clickmap.
Such providers may use their own cookies and other identifiers in accordance with their privacy policies.
FanficForge may implement a consent-management mechanism allowing the user to permit or refuse the use of optional analytics technologies where such consent is required by applicable law.
Abuse Prevention
Certain forms, including registration, login, and feedback forms, may use hCaptcha to protect the Service from automated attacks, spam, and abuse.
When hCaptcha is used, relevant technical data may be transmitted to the provider of that technology.

Depending on applicable law, processing may be based on the need to provide a service requested by the user, performance of an agreement with the user, the user’s consent, FanficForge’s legitimate interests, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Where processing is based on the user’s consent, such consent may be withdrawn in accordance with applicable law.

The sharing of user content with AI providers described in this Privacy Policy does not mean that data obtained through Google Sign-In is shared with those providers. Google Sign-In data is not used for FanficForge’s generative AI features and is not sent to OpenRouter or generative AI model providers for the purpose of generating user content.
If FanficForge or related assets are transferred to another owner in the future, data may be transferred as part of such transaction, subject to applicable personal data protection requirements.
13. International Data Processing
FanficForge is available to users in different countries.
Infrastructure, AI, analytics, payment, and other service providers may be located in, and may process data in, countries other than the user’s country of residence.
Where applicable law requires special safeguards for international transfers of personal data, FanficForge seeks to apply the mechanisms and contractual measures provided for by such law.
We do not claim that all user data is necessarily stored in any one specific country.
14. Data Retention
FanficForge retains data no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless longer retention is required by law or is necessary to protect legitimate interests.

The user may also contact support@fanficforge.online to request deletion of a specific story.
FanficForge may retain minimal information about the fact of deletion or blocking where necessary for security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance with legal requirements.

Before fulfilling a request, FanficForge may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the requester.
Some requests may be restricted or refused where retention or processing of the relevant data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights of others, maintain security, resolve a dispute, or for other grounds permitted by applicable law.
